Astronauts

Mrs Munro taught us that astronauts wear spacesuits. The first person to go into space ate ice-cream. They have bars over their legs when they go to the toilet. Some astronauts sleep with sleeping bags attached to the wall. If they didn’t hold their food it would float away. They take 90 minutes to go around the world. They say 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0 blast off. Why do they say 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0, blast off? Because they are ready to go to space!



Number Poem

One is the number of houses that keeps us warm.
Two is the number of earings we wear.
Three is the number of balls of snow on a snowman.
Four is the number of legs on a chair.
Five is the number of plants in room 3.
Winter is the season of…….

I see freezing snow falling from the sky.
I hear whoosh from the trees.
I smell smoke from the warm houses.
I feel gooey mud in the puddles.
I enjoy going to the snow to go skiing.
